Happy Valentine's Day!
The title of our post is obviously a little bit of a joke poked directly at Mother Nature. This winter season seemed endless and we weren't sure we were ever going to see any signs of Spring. However, February also became a month filled with additional adventures and of course...love! At school, the twin princes took part in a very special Valentine's Day tea. They made cookies for Mom and all the parents were treated to an extra special Valentine's Day Tea complete with entertainment. Their wonderful Kindergarten teachers brought in antique cups for all to use (so cool!) and the kids did a concert which made all the parent's hearts melt. We love our school!!
At home, the royals were treated to an extended Valentine's Day celebration, since we try to celebrate every day as much as possible. Each day together is a gift, so we cherish each one and never let an opportunity to make a big deal about something go by. :)
Heart shaped grilled cheese anyone? How about a delicious PINK cupcake for dessert???
When the weather outside remains frightful, we don't stay inside with the fire that is so delightful! Oh noooo! We instead brave the flooded, icy and snow covered elements to visit some of New England's cool adventures such as the
Seacoast Science Center!
As the waves of the Atlantic brush against the coastline and flood the landscape, we trudge through with our winter boots just to get a chance to play at the indoor tide pools! :)

| Alec learns all about submersibles... |
 |
| Abby spends time with the sharks... |
 |
| And before long...everyone was getting a little 'crabby!' |
 |
| We took some time to practice boat safety....(since summer was on the way!) |
 |
| Then took a little reading break...since all of this activity is a lot of work! |
We then decided to practice fishing.....
But...we didn't catch much that we could keep... :(
But, by the end of the day (and month), we were preparing for summer and many more adventures!
