Down Syndrome Awareness Month.....

Down Syndrome Awareness Month (October) will soon arrive, and during this month, our family engages in a variety of supportive activities to help raise awareness not specifically of Down syndrome, but more to the point, to celebrate the similiarities and achievements of individuals with Down syndrome. Our daughter, Abigail, was born with Down syndrome, and has proven to us each and every day that Down syndrome is a medical diagnosis, not a life sentence of ridicule. She is an amazing little girl who owns the 'Mayor' title at her Pre-K and has fans across the globe as a star of the Emmy-award nominated DVD series, Signing Time--within which she teaches others how to use sign language to communicate. This past weekend, Uncle Kurt and Abby's cousin Joshua, took part in the Step Up for Down Syndrome Event held in Colorado (photo above). We couldn't be more touched or pleased that our entire family has shown support for our little princess and her peers. THANK YOU to Kurt, Joshua, Stephanie and Brittney, for showing your love of Miss Abs.

In two weeks, the Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress (http://www.mdsc.org/) will host its annual Buddy Walk event. Team Abby's Cadabbies will again come together for the half day celebration in Wakefield. If you can join us, do so. And, if you would like to share a donation in support of Abby and others with Down syndrome, feel free to do so on our Team support page located at:
