Fluff and Fall....

The true colors of Fall are quickly arriving here in New England...and the royals refuse to let one moment of this glorious weather fade without completely enjoying every moment. This past weekend, we experienced both 90 degree temps (Saturday) followed by cooler 68 degree temps--which made for two very active outdoor days. The 5th Annual Fluff Festival took center stage on Saturday, followed by a full afternoon of apple picking/pumpkin picking at Parlee Farms in Tyngsboro, Mass. We enjoyed the company of family friends--including Abby's best gal pal, Colleen, and her parents, Paul and Jean. It was an absolutely perfect weekend in all respects--making it hard to start another work week on Monday--and leave all these wonderful moments and memories behind.
Well, at least until next weekend when we're off to another adventure to a castle in the mountains!
Stay tuned!!! :)
Originally created in Massachusetts and still produced here by the the same family that founded it years and years ago, marshmallow FLUFF was spotlighted this weekend at the 5th Annual Fluff Fest. It is a perfect excuse to go into a sugar coma for a few hours--eating everything from the world famous (and occasionally controversial) peanut butter and Fluff sandwiches--to topping beer and hot cocoa with the sweet, white concoction. Worth noting is that two teaspoons of the stuff only carries with it 40 calories and it is both fat and cholesterol free! :)
The Fluff and peanut-butter eating contest is about to begin. Participants must eat a pre-portioned amount of each as quickly as possible--and whoever eats it all first--is crowned the victor!

The Fluff Pharoah.....

After a day of manufactured sugar, the royals decided it was time to focus on a 'healthier' activity--apple picking.

King Tony, Prince AVA and Prince AAA on a hayride to the apple orchards....
King Tony hoists up Princess AKA to get the best apples....so mommy can make the yummiest of apple pies, apple crisps, applesauce and apple chutney for pork chops! :)

Princess Abs and her best friend Colleen set off to the pumpkin field together....

King Tony with all the munchkins--already chowing on apples and the bag isn't even yet full. Slackers, I tell you!! :)
Prince Alec gets back to work to fill the apple sack...good boy!

Tony helps Abby and Aramis--since they'd much rather grab/pick apples and toss them at unsuspecting pickers nearby....can you believe it? Mischievous little ones...!

Before King Tony intervenes, Abby and Aramis are picking and tossing the apples...

But after some mild intervention, they learned what to do and are back on the picking trail to get the goods for mommy! yeah!

Alec in the pumpkin patch looking for the perfect pumpkin. "Can I get this one Mama--even if it IS bigger than me??"

Abby takes a long stroll/run instead...

Alec just loves his orange pumpkin patch...will do all he can to take very pumpkin in sight!
